Why Yandu exists.

A child can begin falling behind long before a report card makes it obvious. The signals exist — a mark, a tutor's note, an assignment nobody handed in. They simply arrive separately.

Yandu was built for families in fee-paying private schools across Francophone West Africa, where parents are closely invested in their children's education and still have no single reliable picture of it. We think that is an information problem before it is a teaching problem.

So Yandu works from the curriculum a student is actually taught, keeps track of what they have demonstrated against it, and tells the parent what deserves attention in plain language. Tutors and teachers see the detail behind that summary. Nobody is asked to interpret a diagnostic report to know how their child is doing.

The Yandu symbol is a slingshot: potential, pulled back and released forward. It describes what we are trying to do for a student — see where they are, and help move them on from there.
